Engineering a New Way

The new College of Engineering and Computing will enrich all students's skills.

Securing Critical Infrastructure

A cybersecurity engineering senior design team is penetration testing a scaled-down industrial control system provided by industry partner Dragos, Inc.

Rising in the Rankings

The Volgenau School of Engineering achieved its highest ranking ever in the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) HERD survey for 2019. Volgenau is also ranked in the top 100 for graduate programs in the new U.S. News & World Report rankings.

Hands-on learning at new heights

Students studying aeronautics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering got an up-close look at the mechanics of a helicopter when the Fairfax Police landed one on campus.

Access to Opportunities

Most of the Volgenau School's departments offer a year-long intensive senior design capstone class where students get the opportunity to work with researchers, industry partners, and non-profits to solve real-world engineering problems.
